AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS
As a developer and operator, The Cordish Companies, Live! and its affiliates have been recognized with numerous industry awards. One of the most prestigious is the Urban Land Institute Award for Excellence (ULIAE), of which Cordish has been awarded a record breaking seven times. Cordish is the only developer in history to have won the ULIAE seven times. More information regarding the ULIAE, and other recognitions bestowed upon Cordish and its affiliates over the years are outlined below. Additionally, The Cordish Companies’ Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland earned top honors for dining and entertainment offerings, including the AAA Four Diamond-rated top luxury gaming & entertainment destination in Maryland.
The Cordish Companies’ Live! Casino & Hotel in Maryland has earned the BEST CASINO IN MARYLAND award by Casino Player Magazine, recognition won each year since opening its doors in 2012. Building on that tradition, Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia has also been voted BEST CASINO IN PENNSYLVANIA by the same publication. Live! Casino Pittsburgh was named 2022 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR by the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce.
URBAN LAND INSTITUTE AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE
The Urban Land Institute, an independent global nonprofit dedicated to the responsible use of land while creating and sustaining thriving communities, distributes its annual ULI Awards for Excellence in recognition of truly superior development efforts. They are the most prestigious awards in real estate. The Cordish Companies is honored to have received seven to date, more than any other developer.

The Kansas City Power & Light District (KCP&L) is a shining example of urban land renewal and public/private partnership at its best. The district was the culmination of forty years of City efforts that transformed an area of urban blight into a vibrant downtown core which now attracts 8 million visitors.
